This is a complex, bold and layered wine with a dazzling ruby red color and aromas of geranium, sumptuous black fruits with hints of black licorice, vanilla and cedar. The front palate starts out with black currant and dried black plum leading to generous Marion berry, plum and anise, finishing with ripe black cherry, wild blackberries, dark cocoa and a hint of black pepper. It’s full bodied with higher acidity and notable tannins. Winemaker Shane Howard has succeeded once again with this outstanding example of a Washington Cabernet.
