This sleek and sensuous Rhône-style blend offers aromas of rich black fruits and a silky, medium-bodied palate. Blackberry, blueberry, and black plum lead into ripe cherry, cassis, and a long finish of boysenberry, cocoa, and white pepper. Decanting enhances its depth, revealing sweet cherry and soft black licorice. Perfect with grilled meats, creamy cheeses, and dark chocolate.

2016 Pasión – Stillwater Creek Vineyard
Our 2016 Pasión has a dense burgundy color and legs that seamlessly stream down the glass. The nose is soft at first, then swiftly opens up, bursting with blueberry, raspberry, black cherry, soft cedar and warm spices. It’s a sensuous well-balanced wine with deep concentrated flavors. The taste on the front palate is ripe boysenberry and blackberry, leading to black current, dried prune and vanillin, finishing with rich ripe berry flavors all intermixed with hints of allspice and chocolate.
Drinking Pasión by itself is a luxury and an indulgence to be relished, but food pairings will offer a whole new dimension. Try it with a simple preparation of Gouda, aged goat cheese or Brie with bacon onion jam on toasted brioche bread or a perfectly cooked bone-in rib steak with all the trimmings. Either way, Pasión is riveting, refined, and so satisfying it makes you want to dance.
Winemaker Shane Howard has succeeded in producing another great wine. This bottling is very limited with only 84 cases so be sure you put some in your cellar. Enjoy now or hold up to 8 years.
