2022 Merlot

Our 2015 Merlot is a vibrant crimson red with a garnet undertone.  The legs are extremely long and slowly spindle down the glass.  On the nose you get sweet wood, soft caramel, wild berry and a slight violet note.

First sip has dark plum and rich vanillin, mid-palate black cherry, finishing with lingering black current and dark chocolate.  It’s medium bodied with smooth acidity and silky tannins, which makes this wine perfect on it’s own or with a plethora of food choices.   A fun pairing would be a pistachio and fresh asiago crusted salmon, with a wild rice and mushroom pilaf, or butter chicken and smashed potatoes with spinach, sun dried tomatoes and feta cheese.  The options are unlimited with this incredible fruit driven Merlot.
